Today we're going to look at the experience of students from Larkin Community College who completed their Virtual Work Experience Programme with State Street. Check out some of the quotes we've gathered together through LinkedIn and Twitter:
The mentors were so nice and understanding. I learned that I can do well in my future career if I work hard and put my mind to any goal I set for myself
Talking to the mentors was very interesting. It helped me a lot with making decisions of college options and what type of career to choose
It made me think that no matter what course I study at college, it will help me for the future by learning skills that I can use in most jobs
I learned that there are great opportunities for people in the working world. Like courses that you can do the people you get to meet and the promotions you can work towards.
Students spent the session discussing 'how to deal with worries and anxieties about the future' and (very importantly!) 'how to make a career out of doing what you love!'. Check out the full graphic below for more details. Congratulations and well done to the students and https://twitter.com/StateStreet on what looked a fantastic day!
