Share

This Spring the NEIC Community Arts Programme is introducing a range of arts initiatives for young and old in the North East Inner City.

The 'Try it Out' Programme is offering a broad range of starter programmes for groups of all ages who might just like to have an opportunity to try something new.

Programmes range from the Visual Arts to Drama, Playwriting and even Samba! The 'Try It Out' Programme is open to all community and youth groups, clubs and schools in the area.

Our Early Years Arts Programme also begins this Spring as five experienced Early Years Arts Practitioners will work with the children and Early Childhood Educators of Five Early Years Settings to explore the value that the Arts can play in the lives of very young children.

Magic in the Mansions,;the NEIC Community Arts Programme’s partnership with Cluid Housing; begins this February. Children in Mary’s Mansions, Dublin 1 will have the opportunity to work with experienced Artist Orla Kelly on a journey that will explore the Visual Arts, Storytelling and Shadow Puppetry.

For groups that want to further explore or develop their own Arts Programming, the NEIC Community Arts Programme’s development grant will be opening for applications on February 7th. Applications forms will be available from the NEIC website. Grants will range from €500 - €5000. All Schools, Community and Youth and Children’s groups in the area will be eligible to apply.

The NEIC Community Arts Programme is also working in partnership with a number of community groups to further develop Arts Provision in the NEIC. For further details about any of our programmes please contact: communityartsneic@gmail.com
