Hugh Lane Gallery: Art and the Outdoors are delighted to welcome you to their exciting 'Art and the Outdoors', a two day family art event on Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August 2021, taking place with a special street closure in front of the Hugh Lane Gallery on Parnell Square North. ‘Art and the Outdoors’ is inspired by artists who moved out of their studio to paint en plein air or out of doors.
This free family-friendly programme includes artist-led outdoor drawing, street performance by the Dublin Circus Project, live music performances from Jazz to string quartet and traditional music both days, and on Sunday they also have Outspoken with Spoken Word artists Hazel Hogan, Emmet O'Brien and The Poet Geoff programmed in conjunction with Poetry Ireland.
This special event will be launched by Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alison Gilliland on Saturday 31 July at Noon.

Live outdoor music programme on Saturday and Sunday:
12.15pm Susannah De Wrixon with John Keogh and Scott Kohlman on guitars;
1.15pm Glas Quartet; Flute Quartet
2.15pm Eavesdrop - Poetry/music collaboration from poet Nell Regan and cellist Mary Barnecutt;
3.15pm Inni-K - Irish award-winning traditional singer.
All are welcome and no booking is required but places will be limited due to Covid-19 restrictions so please attend early to avoid disappointment.
