Fittzgibbon St. Garda Station Community Day, Sunday, May 8th

The Community Gardaí at Fitzgibbon Street Garda Station are hosting an open day at the station on Sunday 8th May 2022 between 1pm-4pm.

The open day is a chance for ALL members of the public to visit the Garda station and to meet and talk to their local Gardaí and see the services each unit offers and provides.

The following units that will be available subject to availability and weather permitting will be the Mounted Unit, Water Unit, Roads Policing Unit, Dog Unit, Scenes of Crime, Armed Support Unit, Public Order Unit, Crime Prevention Advice, Property Marking Demonstrations and more.

Also the first hour of the open day between 1pm and 2pm will be a sensory hour for children with special needs and autism who wish to attend with their parents where there will be no unexpected loud noises or sirens for that hour.

This will be great opportunity to meet the community policing unit as well as many specialised units that contribute to policing in the area and beyond.

Entrance to the open day is via Charles Lane to the right of Fitzgibbon St as you look at the building. We hope to see you there!!!
