Contract for Festival Director for Big Scream Festival 2018

Following the highly successful Halloween Festivals in 2016 and 2017 drawn from Ballybough, Sheriff Street and Sean McDermott Street, a Festival Director is sought for the 2018 Big Scream Festival, which combines community engagement, the arts and youth projects, culminating in a street spectacle for citizens and visitors alike, to take place over a few nights in Halloween 2018.

With a substantial number of arts and community projects operating in the inner city and with the vibrancy of young people engaged in their neighbourhoods, this Festival is an occasion for celebration and artistic expression.

This festival is overseen by a Steering Committee drawn from projects and organisations active in the area. This is an opportunity for a person of exceptional organisational and co-ordination skills, with energy and enthusiasm to be involved and contribute to a vital new force in one of Dublin’s oldest and most remarkable communities.

Closing date for application: 4pm on Tuesday 8th May, with shortlisted candidates invited to interview on Tuesday 15th May at a venue in the north east inner city.
