April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month and BowelScreen, the National Bowel Screening Programme, is encouraging people aged 60-69 to register for a free BowelScreen test kit. The test kit is posted to you so that you can complete the test at home, which takes just a few minutes.
About 2,800 people get bowel cancer every year. Bowel screening helps find signs of cancer before symptoms start. See the attached graphic for details on how to register for this screening.
