Are you looking to develop a career working in the community?
Starting 7th September is a full-time, 48 week accredited programme designed to help learners develop a career using their lived experiences and skills. The course is delivered by the Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed, in collaboration with the City of Dublin Education and Training Board
The Building Futures programme is a QQI accredited programme with participants working towards a level 5 major award in Community Development. This course includes 8 core modules including volunteer work and an 8-week work placement. The programme will draw on participant’s life experiences to enable them to become community workers, peer educators, support workers and mentors as well as a range of other employment opportunities.
The course runs from Monday to Friday 10am – 4.30pm and is delivered in the Learning Hub which is located at 88-90 Townsend Street, Dublin 2.
There is no cost to participate on the Building Futures programme. While training you will receive an ETB training allowance, meal allowance, travel allowance and your secondary social welfare payments will not be affected.
