Sheriff Street will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early with the ‘Sheriff Street Paddy’s Parade’. The Garda Band will lead the parade from Sheriff Street
Local artist, Fionnuala Halpin, has been working with schools, creches and residents in the area in the run up to the event, creating unique art works and costumes for the parade. Local residents, dockers, children from schools and creches, business workers and artists will march together to celebrate this fantastic occasion! The people of Sheriff Street are delighted to welcome Councillor Nial Ring, Lord Mayor of Dublin to lead the parade in a carriage.
The Parade supported by Dublin City Council and the NEIC office aims to celebrate the Sheriff Street area, promote community development and social inclusion through the arts and showcase the uniqueness of this geographical area that is steeped in culture, character and history to both local residents and visitors.
