A statue of legendary Dubliner Luke Kelly was unveiled on the 35th Anniversary of his death, Wednesday 30th January 2019. The statue, located on Royal Canal, Guild St/Sheriff St. was unveiled by President Michael D. Higgins. Large crowds gathered to mark the event.
